Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails
  • 8 large sea scallops
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. Season the lobster tails and scallops with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped parsley.
  3. Brush the lobster tails generously with the garlic butter. Broil until the lobster meat is tender and opaque, about 10 to 12 minutes depending on size.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the scallops for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until golden brown with a lightly crisp crust.
  5. Arrange the lobster and scallops on a plate. Drizzle with remaining garlic butter, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Nutrition is an estimate per serving. For the best sear, avoid moving the scallops while the first side browns.

Why You Will Love This Seafood Dinner

n

The lobster stays tender under the broiler while the scallops get a crisp, caramelized crust in a hot skillet. The same garlic butter works as both a basting sauce and a finishing drizzle, so every bite is buttery, bright, and full of seafood flavor.

Recipe Tips

n
  • Pat the scallops very dry before searing so they brown instead of steaming.
  • Use large sea scallops for the best crust and tender center.
  • Broil lobster just until opaque; overcooking can make it tough.
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges while the butter sauce is warm.
